How I Almost Lost My Faith and Regained It (EVEN STRONGER): After Diagnose with Covid-19

Updated: May 18

When terrible things happen to people we love or to us, we wonder: Is God really good? Where is God when you needed him? It's the time when you question your Faith in God. Did he forsake you and your family in this time of sorrow and despair?

On the 27th of November 2020, my family faces what I think is our lives' darkest times, when I felt God had forsaken my family because I, a 29-year-old millennial who has a Dumaguete house rental, and my mother 67-year-old housewife, are diagnosed with Covid-19. A time when I question God, where are you when I needed you.

Sometimes we reach points where uncertain circumstances don't turn out the way we planned, leading us to pain and depression.

Pain and depression and anxiety can cause people to lose their faith in God because of significant abuse, betrayal, adultery, infidelity, suffering, sadness, and sickness.

But as I ponder through the days that I was isolated. I realise and believe that my God is good. When we make mistakes, God doesn't abandon us. Although I don't understand right now why this is happening to my family. I know in my heart that God has a reason why he brings this challenge to my family. I know that everything in my life is a gift of God's goodness. My God's plan and purpose of my life are both good and loving. His plan for me is to help me and not hurt me. And there are many things in my life right now that I don't understand, but in God's time, it's all going to be clear.

"Go to the one who is greater than your problems."

The almighty God is our constant source of strength and encouragement when all else seems to fade away, and our world seems to be crumbling. Millions of depressed individuals have been known to commit suicide when they could not bear the pain of seeing themselves enmeshed in a financial mess.

Many have failed to recover from failure, sickness, depression, and turmoil associated with daily life. What we fail to realize is that as individuals, we cannot cope with the enormous stress that daily comes our way. Every individual has his/her stress limit, and when that limit is exceeded, the implication may be disastrous if not properly handled. The good news is that the Almighty God can heal every broken heart and put the pieces of our life back again. When the trouble of life seems to overwhelm us, the best bet is to go to God in prayer, asking him to strengthen us.

Proverbs 3: 5-6

TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING, AND HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATH.😍😍😍😍 AMEN. ALWAYS TRUST IN LORD. IN ALL YOUR PROBLEM😪😪 AND BE PATIENCE, FOR HE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU NOR ABANDON YOU. GOD BE WITH YOU.

Final Thoughts on How I Almost Lost My Faith and Regained It

Life is not easy, nor is it meant to be. We are always facing hurdles and obstacles that we must overcome, which is all part of the journey. If you can accept that things will get tough and it won't always be roses and sweet-smelling kittens, you'll get yourself better prepared for what's to come.
